juB tark-e-ta'aluq koi chara bhi nahiN tha
bin us k mager apna guzara bhi nahiN tha

daa'way to sabhi ko thy wafadari k, lekin,
ham dooby to tinkay ka sahara bhi nahiN tha.
...
wo shakhs rag-o-pay meiN uterta hi gayaN youN,
jesy k mujhy khud pe ajaara bhi nhi tha...

duniya se to khair apna gila hi nahiN banta,
is dil ko mager ranj tumhara bhi nahiN tha

lamhat-e-firaq a'ay khaRy thy kyuN abhi se,
ham ne to abhi waqt guzara bhi nahi tha

faizan meiN dil khol k rakhta, to kis aagy?
yaaN mujh sa koi dard ka mara bhi nahiN tha..
